“Eric and Leigh Gibson, might have, pound-for-pound, the most impeccably fine sounding traditional bluegrass band on the contemporary scene...the reason these guys can’t lose is that, quite simply, they sound so great. Eric and Leigh sing bluegrass’ tightest harmony blend, and instrumentally, the group plays with unmatched alacrity and taste.”  —Pop Matters

The Pine Hill Community Center invites you to an evening of bluegrass, roots and Americana music as we present bluegrass royalty, The Gibson Brothers.   It’s a very special homecoming for The Gibson Brothers, as these nationally recognized musicians return to the upstate New York mountains where they grew up and continue to call home.

Join us for a celebration of community, Bluegrass, Roots and Americana music, with all proceeds going to the Pine Hill Community Center to help continue and grow the PHCC outreach and activities.

Deemed “…bluegrass royalty” by The New York Times, back-to-back International Bluegrass Music Association Entertainers of the Year as well as Song of the Year winners, The Gibson Brothers are rooted in classic country and bluegrass; they are a vital roots music group playing timeless Americana music.

"Music, especially acoustic music, was made a staple of the PHCC starting with the center’s first director, James Kruger.  The Messinger family has been supporting this program, and we’re so pleased that one of the country’s finest bluegrass bands and native New Yorkers, The Gibson Brothers, will be doing this benefit concert for the Center." –Andrew Messinger

Presented through the generosity of Andrew Messinger and the Messinger Family Fund this will be an evening of goodtime, foot tapping, gotta-get-up-and-dance Bluegrass music. Not to mention, you’ll be supporting the continuing good work of the Pine Hill Community Center We look forward to welcoming you on June 15th. Doors open at 7:00pm Showtime at 8:00pm.

About the Gibson Brothers

The Gibson Brother’s brand of bluegrass is a visceral mix of heritage and soaring harmony; they are the premiere brother duo in the Bluegrass/Americana genre, following in the footsteps of legendary brother acts such as The Everly Brothers, The Stanley Brothers, Jim & Jesse and the Osborne Brothers. Their first ever album of entirely original songs, In The Ground, sees the Gibson Brothers taking on their own roots as the sixth generation of Gibsons to grow up on their family farm.

The two-time International Bluegrass Music Association Entertainers of the Year, follow up to their stellar, 5 times nominated tribute to brother harmonies, Brotherhood, digs even deeper into their commitment to family and their history. The themes come from the farm, their childhood and the region in which they were raised. One can hear their dedication to the songs, from the lighthearted to the profound; in the modernity of the lyrics, matched with a virtuosity that feels somehow both traditional and revelatory.
