2018 Barn Tour Fundraiser For The West Kortright Centre

  • Buck Hill Farm 185 Fuller rd Jefferson NY United States (map)

(Jefferson/Gilboa/Harpersfield Area) On Sunday, September 30th, from 11AM to 4PM, the West Kortright Centre will hold its second annual Barn Tour fundraiser, showcasing a variety of agricultural architecture in Delaware and Schoharie counties. This self-guided tour of the structures that characterize our region’s agricultural heritage and hilly farmland includes a typical gambrel roofed ramp barn with spectacular views of the Catskill High Peaks, one of the 13 octagon-shaped barns in New York State, an old mill that was converted into a poultry barn and then into a residence, and a barn assembled from a kit sold by Sears, Roebuck in the early 20th century. The tour will also take you by the imposing Decker-Starheim barn, with its enclosed ramp that crosses the road.

Advance tickets are $18, to benefit The West Kortright Centre. For more information, call (607) 278-5454, or visit to purchase tickets before 3PM on Friday, September 28. $20 tickets can be purchased at the first barn. Participants must begin the tour between 11am & 1pm, starting at Buck Hill Farm, 185 Fuller Road in Jefferson. Buck Hill Farm also serves breakfast until 1pm.
