The Academy Award-winning documentary Man on Wire chronicles Philippe Petit’s daring 1974 high wire walk between the rooftops of the Twin Towers. It has been called the most astounding “artistic crime” of all time.
In addition to the Philippe Petit Q&A after the screening there will be a pre-screening reception at the Phoenicia Library with wine and hors d'oeuvres, generously donated by the local restaurants thePeekamoose, Tavern 214 and the Phoenicia Diner.
There will be a reception at the Phoenicia Library (48 Main Street, Phoenicia, NY 12464) for all ticket holders at 5:00pm with the film screening to follow at the Phoenicia Playhouse (10 Church Street, Phoenicia, NY 12464) at 6:30pm (doors open at 6:00pm). Tickets will be $35 in advance, $40 at the door and may be purchased at the Phoenicia Library, online at www.phoenicialibrary.com, or at the Phoenicia Playhouse the day of the event starting at 4pm.
