Wednesday, July 20th 9:30AM-11:00AM- Leave No Trace

If you like to camp often, this is a class you might especially learn from. Let’s talk and learn about how to reduce our impact in our lovely nature while camping.

2:00pm–3:30PM Sensory Class:

Let’s use our 5 senses in ways we might not be familiar with. This is a fun one, and great for curious children.

Friday, July 22nd 9:30-11:30AM- Poetry and Literature

Join the members of ECC to learn about the forest surrounding Wilson campground and be sure to broaden your nature vocabulary or create an open environment to share your knowledge.

1:00PM- 3:00PM- Animal Tracks/Signs Hike

Join us in learning about local animals that might be wandering around the park this vacation. Maybe a bobcat, but don’t be afraid; we are much more of a threat to them than they are to us. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes and bring water!

5:30-6:30PM- Owl Pellet Dissection

Do you love owls? So do we! Come pick apart some owl pellets with the AmeriCorps members!

Saturday, July 23rd 8:00-9:00AM- Music in Nature

Let the AmeriCorps members help you discover how we bring music into nature, or how nature brings music to us.

1:30-2:30PM- Pond Ecology

What are those critters and plans that make their homes in the waters surrounding the campground? Be prepared to get your feet wet!

8:00-9:30PM- Astronomy Talk

Come learn about some of our stars and constellations with the AmeriCorps members. Although it may not yet be dark enough, we can learn about cool things to look for once that sun drops far below the horizon.

Sunday, July 24th 7:00-8:00AM- Birding

Join us in spotting birds of prey such as the red-Tailed hawk, beautiful woodpeckers and much more with this group of AmeriCorps members before you hit the road!

9:00-10:30AM- Stretching and Games

Come join us before you get on the road for some stretching and nature-based games.

* Join us from 1:00-3:00PM today at The Catskill Interpretive Center for an afternoon history session of the Catskills! *
