The Lightning Rods: perform high voltage bluegrass music at the Phoenicia Library
The Phoenicia Library proudly presents the first concert of its new Cabin Fever Music Series.
Spring is here, and that calls for some boogieing! The Lightning Rods, a new band of seasoned, local musicians, blends old time, bluegrass, western swing, Celtic and country and western. So hang on to your hats for some high-voltage, low-volume acoustic roots music with swing and a steady beat for dancing and listening.

The Lightning Rods are;
•Ed Lowman Fiddle, guitar, and vocals.
For 37 years Ed has organized a summer series of outdoor square dances at Schroon Lake which won him a Traditional Arts Upstate Heritage Award in 2012.
•Tom Wadsworth, guitar and vocals. Tom has played all over the Finger Lakes, Ithaca, and Cobleskill regions of NY. Tom is also exploring traditional Irish music on uilleann pipes & tin whistle. For the last three summers he played 'Irish Night' at The Lakehouse Grille in Wells, New York with fiddler Lenny Broiles.
•Geoff Harden, bass and vocals. For the last 15 years Geoff has played in a traditional Appalachian old-time string band, Stillhouse Rounders.Geoff also organizes a local festival at Lake Genero in northeastern PA which attracts 250 musicians from the northeast for a weekend of jamming and singing.
•Colin McCoy , fiddle, banjo and both the singing saw and the singing voice. He also performs with a gypsy-jazz quartet, the C.C. Vagabonds, and a contradance band, the Border Ruffians.
