CERM 2016
Thursday, October 27 — Friday, October 28, 2016
Belleayre Ski Center, Highmount, NY

The Catskill Mountain region is unique in New York State - the region links nothern and southern landscapes, is a focal point for species invasion, and has lingering air pollution concerns. It’s also a heavily forested, and reforested landscape, a beloved recreational resource, home to multiple communities, and a large drinking water supply for millions of New Yorkers. This multi-disciplinary conference provides a forum for researchers, students, resource managers and other stakeholders to review current research, identify data gaps, and discuss plans for future environmental research and monitoring in the Catskill Mountain region.

The 4th biennial CERM conference will cover the themes of climate change, dissolved organic carbon in soils and water, roles and risks of woody debris in streams, connecting research and data collection with resource management decisions, and research methods and models from other geographic areas that may translate well to the Catskills.
