2019 Catskill Mountain Story Festival - Performances

Musician and Folklorist Billy Scribbles
A lively performance of traditional tunes and mountain lore celebrating the rich history and culture of the Catskills - grab lunch and come enjoy a memorable show that’ll keep your toes tapping!

Hailing from the Catskills, Billy Scribbles first learned to play the 5-string banjo from Pete Seeger while a member of the Beacon Sloop Club, and continued his musical education in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina where he's performed on stage with acts like the Steel City Jug Slammers and Raymond Fairchild. He's currently a travel writer for WPVM, and a folklorist researching the lost folklore of the Catskill Mountains.

Catskills Songs and Square Dance
The popular Tremperskill Boys will close out the festival with a concert of Catskills songs and a square dance. New and experienced dancers are welcome. Come experience this traditional Catskills art form.
