Saturday, August 26th, may seem a long time away; however, mark your calendars now for an exciting day at the Mountain Top Historical Society campus on Rt. 23A in Haines Falls. The MTHS Annual Open House is adding a new feature: Rip's Country Bazaar with antiques, crafts, and a flea market. The Bazaar will be spread out on the beautiful lawn under tents inviting you to browse, to shop and to listen to live music by the 77th Regimental Balladeers under the direction of John Quinn. That's in addition to Open Archives, the historic Ulster and Delaware Railroad Station, (open with a railroad themed photo exhibit),activities for children, and the popular Kaaterskill Rail Trail which you can follow on a 1.5 mile hike to the Kaaterskill Falls viewing platform. Food will be available to help you enjoy the day. The day will begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue through 5:00 p.m. Stop in for part of the day or stay through the afternoon. Check in to our website (mths.org) and Facebook page as August approaches for additional information.
