Nature Across Boundaries: What Can We Do to Keep Lands and Waters Connected

  • Mohonk Mountain House Conference Center Mountain Rest Road New Paltz, NY, 12561 United States (map)

Mohonk Consultations invites you to a day-long conference as we explore how local leaders, landowners, land managers, and land-use planners can work across political boundaries and property lines to preserve and restore connections in nature. Speakers will share innovative planning tools and approaches, as well as successful case studies from the Hudson Valley that are protecting habitat and landscape connectivity. Through Q&A and discussions, participants will have an opportunity to examine the barriers and opportunities for preserving landscape connections in their own work, whether at the site-scale or across municipalities.

AICP members can earn Certification Maintenance (CM) credits for this conference. More information about AICP’s CM program can be found at www.planning.org/cm. Municipal training certificates will also be available for planning and zoning board members.

Location: Mohonk Mountain House Conference Center, New Paltz. For more information, contact mohonkconsultations@hvi.net or visit http://mohonk-consultations.org/conference/.
