As part of Outdoors Day, join us at the Catskills Visitor Center on Saturday, June 8th from 10:30 to 11:30 for our third spring Discovery Walk. This week our topic is beginner birding as we explore the Visitor Center’s nature trails finding resident and migrating species.
A small number of binoculars will be available to share, however if you have your own please bring them! At the start of the walk we’ll go over binocular use and focusing, and talk about some of the resources you can use to identify bird species when you venture outdoors. After the walk, stay for a Catskills geology walk, talks, and activities. Rain or shine, all ages welcome!
Discovery Walks is a new outdoor program of the Catskills Visitor Center, happening once a month throughout the year. Spend time on our beautiful nature trails learning about a specific topic and meeting new people in the Catskills. Keep an eye on our website or Facebook page for more information on upcoming Discovery Walks.
