public art installation at the Catskill Interpretive Center. This public art project seeks
to engage community members of all ages in the creation and enjoyment of an
outdoor environment with a focus on the cycles of life. It includes a central
contemplative arbor and two tree installations created with natural elements and
simulated stained glass components. Hand-painted rocks, pathways, and two-sided
mandalas will be created by intergenerational community participants.

These community workshops are offered by Susan Togut; MFA, Public Artist,
Educator, and Therapeutic Facilitator. Ms. Togut created the Wisdom
Trees Environment, as well as many public art and gallery, mixed-media works
focused on cycles of nature, the fragility of life and regeneration. Over the years she
facilitated and taught people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities with a
consciousness of individual and community wellness. She believes all people are
inherently artists and that the arts should be woven into the fabric of daily life.
