Take in the natural beauty while you stroll along the Catskill Interpretive Center Sculpture Trail and enjoy opportunities to meet the artists, see live sculpture demos, and try your hand at creating your own nature-inspired works of art.
Activities will include:
Rock painting & mandalas with Susan Togut
In connection with Wisdom Trees; Embracing the Cycles of Life, an outdoor environment along Rt 28 at CIC, intergenerational participants are invited to create hand-painted rocks that will form pathways within and around this contemplative public space. Additionally, they can create two-sided, cedar mandalas for the project, and paint, draw or write about the cycles of trees on bark or paper, in preparation for art component creation in upcoming workshops.
Human Nature Dictionary Field Desk with Freedom Baird
The Human Nature Dictionary is an inclusive, open-content creative project to which all are welcome to contribute words, images, and definitions that describe how human activity and nature unintentionally intersect, interact, or merge.
