Join the 4-H Catskill Stream Champions as they describe their work hiking in the Catskills this summer and fall. Their mission is to educate hikers about the Ashokan Watershed and the drinking water this land provides to millions of New Yorkers. They will be using an interactive Floodplain model to teach the important roles that wetlands play in maintaining stream health. A short hike on the trails at the CIC will follow where they will teach about good hiking practices that protect the land and therefore the watershed. This program is free and open to the public.
