Robert and Johanna Titus are professors of geology and biology, Robert at Hartwick College, Johanna at SUNY Dutchess. They are best known in the Catskills for their writings about the geological and ice age histories of our region. They have written hundreds of articles that have appeared in many local newspapers and magazines. They have also written four books on Catskills geological history. Their writings bring the science of our local geology alive for a broad swath of the general reading public. They are very frequent and sought after speakers in our region, giving between 20 and 40 talks per year. Recently they have written a new edition of The Catskills: a geological guide. They will be speaking about that book.
